Current CoViD-19 regulations at DISDH

Information on quarantine regulations in the school context (pdf German-English)

The following is the elaboration of the basic measures for schools

  • Teachers teach at school in presence, all other activities are done online from home.
  • Conferences and meetings will not take place on site but online.
  • Parents and guardians do not come to school unless there is no other option. This also means that AGs cannot take place from Thursday 25 November 2021 until further notice and both parent meetings and supporting lessons must take place online from now on.
  • All adults keep 1.5 metres distance from each other.
  • Festivals and projects such as Sinterklaas and Christmas Workshop take place without the participation of guests.
  • Both teachers and students stay at home in case of complaints until a negative test result is available
  • Children younger than 12 years old who have the first symptoms of the common cold (runny nose) must stay at home and have a PCR test done at the GGD.
  • If a roommate or family member is infected with the virus, all household members must quarantine themselves.
  • If there has been close contact with an infected person, the affected person must go into quarantine.
  • • It is compulsory for students from grade 3 onwards to carry out a self-test at least twice a week (before the start of lessons).
  • School boards and schools can take additional measures

Additional arrangements at DISDH:

  • One-way traffic in the building will be reinstated.
  • A mask is compulsory for all adults and students from grade 3 onwards. The mask can be removed in the classroom at the seat.
  • Students in grade 1-2 are strongly advised to wear mouth and nose coverings.
  • The library service for the classes accompanying the lessons remains in place.
  • The school has a modern ventilation system. During the summer holidays, all maintenance work on the modern ventilation system was carried out according to plan. Finally, air volume measurements and fine adjustments were carried out in all common rooms. The measurement results can be seen in the school. With its constant supply of fresh air, the ventilation system makes a decisive contribution to reducing the risk of transmitting viruses, including Covid-19. This is done simultaneously with a comfortable supply of oxygen and a reduction of the CO2 content in the indoor air.
  • In order not to disturb the ventilation system in this automatic regulation, the windows must remain closed. In the current school year 2021/22, the ventilation system will be monitored by various specialist companies and readjusted if necessary.
  • The Mensa/Cafeteria is open. The ventilation system will be turned up. In addition, more fresh air will be provided through open windows (the cafeteria is disconnected from the ventilation of the classrooms).
  • Cash payments are possible.
It is very important for both students and teaching staff to continue to follow the well-known basic hygiene measures:
  • Regular hand washing
  • No shaking hands
  • Sneeze and cough into the crook of your arm or handkerchief, not into your hand.
  • Do not touch your face with your hands
  • Do not attend school if you have symptoms
  • Make decisions according to the “decision tree” (see attachment)
Stay healthy!
