Grade 11 students on an excursion to Ysselsteyn

Our grade 11 class visited the war cemetery Ysselsteyn east of Eindhoven. On Memorial Day, victims of war and victims of violence and tyranny from all nations were commemorated including the nearly 32.000 German soldiers who fell during the Second World War in the Netherlands and found their last rest in Ysselsteyn. The memorial was attended by representatives from several nations to commemorate the horrors of war and violence and to send out a message of reconciliation and peace. We would like to express our gratitude for the support we received from the German Embassy in The Hague for making DISDH participation possible.
