Christmas workshops 2016
12.12.2016

Each holiday season, we not only look forward to Christmas but also to the DISDH Primary School traditional Christmas workshops which took place this year on Wednesday 7 December.

In the weeks leading up to the big event, arts and crafts interested parents and colleagues looked for possible projects for this year’s workshops. At the 29 various arts and crafts stations which were set up throughout the entire Primary school and the small Sports Hall, children from Preschool up to grade 4 worked on their crafts with great enthusiasm alongside our special guests from the neighbouring Duinoord School.
There were little angels, stars made from all different kinds of materials, Christmas cards, Christmas tree decorations, fragrant carnations, nicely decorated tea lights, tasty biscuit candles and much more. Each child was given a large bag which they filled with the many creative items they made themselves. With pride and joy, they took their lovely works home.

After so much creative work, there were hungry tummies to be filled. Thanks to the parents, a wonderful and varied buffet was set up to the joy of all participants. The singing of Christmas songs rounded out the school morning where the pre-Christmas mood was particularly noticeable on this special day. We sincerely thank all who contributed and made the Christmas Workshops the success that they were.
