DISDH-pupils very succesful at 'Jugend forscht'

DISDH students achieved excellent results at the regional competition 'Jugend forscht' in Bremerhaven. From 3 to 4 March 2016, the winning teams will be participating at the national competition in Bremen.

On the afternoon of 9 February 2016, twelve pupils started their journey to Bremherhaven and presented the results of their research. During the presentation, the creativity of the subject, the experimental design (strategy), the experimental procedure, the written report, the visual impression and finally the oral presentation were evaluatedd by a scientific jury. All six groups from our school achieved a placement:

Mara and Elena (grade 5): "How does behavior previous to a class test affect the result?" - 1st winner (Working world)

Martin, Justus and Maximilian (grade 5): "Driving with wind" - 2nd winner (Technology)

Jannes, Vincent and Tyrese (grade 6b): "Does bath salt conduct electricity?" - 3rd winner (Physics)

Lucy and Alizée (grade 7): "The Perfect Cake" - 1st winner (Working world)

Harald (grade 7b): "Efficient cooling of a PC - 1st winner (Technology)

Wojciech (grade 9): "The compact chair" - 2nd winner (Technology)

Congratulations once again to all our students for their outstanding performance!

From 3 to 4 March 2016 the three winning teams will be participating at the national competition in Bremen. The DISDH will keep their fingers crossed!
