Students represent Lithuania at THIMUN 2017

Once again, a large group of DISDH students are participating at THIMUN  which began on Monday 30 January. This year our students represent Lithuania.

A total of 24 DISDH  students are active at this year's conference. Each year, we are assigned a different country to represent. In 2016 it was Eritrea This year we have changed continents.

The five-day UN simulation has always been very popular among high school students. THIMUN (The Hague International Model United Conference) takes place every year at the end of January at the World Forum Convention Center in The Hague and the DISDH is one of the founding fathers of the conference. More than 3,500 participants from more than 200 different schools worldwide take part each year.

The students take on various roles such as delegates of a certain country, student officers or administrative staff. The conference provide its participants with an excellent opportunity to expand their knowledge of political world issues and the challenges of our time. They also get to know many interesting people from other countries; they improve their ability to work together and they experience daily political practice.
