Junior European Elections at DISDH
Datum Aktivität: 5/27/2019

Every five years, the citizens of the European Union are asked to vote in European Elections. 2019 marks the five year point. From 23 to 26 May, the important direct election took place for the 9th time in the member states of the EU. Also at DISDH, the important election was at the centre of Social Studies’ lessons and motivated grade 9-12 students to organise their own Junior European Elections. As a component of their lessons, the young people prepared intensively for this important political event. Four electoral assistants ensured that all participating classes were notified of the election and they were also responsible for counting the votes. What will the DISDH election result be like compared to other German schools? In the upcoming days, the students will analyse, compare and evaluate the results to get to the bottom of this exciting question.
