The annual DISDH Sports Day for grades 1 to 10 took place on 30 June 2017. All students were divided into groups across grades and participated in fun relay races throughout the morning.
Following a short drink and rest period, track and field with the following disciplines was up on the agenda: 1 km run, sprint, long jump and throwing. Everyone was given a break during lunch where food and drinks could be bought at the Hockey Club’s bar. Feeling filled and full of energy, the afternoon began with football and dodge ball games for grades 5 to 10 playing against each other in similar year groups. The combination of fun, sport and competition made for an interesting day on which there was something to enjoy for everyone. The last activity of the day was a football game with teachers playing against grade 11 who helped organise the Sports Day together with the PE teachers.
The Sports Day made for a nice experience for students and teachers. We hope the tradition will continue in years to come.
